Mind Your Daddy Business!

You can’t choose your father… But you can choose your Daddy!

Every man carries a story about “Dad”. Whether it’s presence or absence, love or distance, support or silence — that story becomes the blueprint for how we show up in our relationships, our commitment, our sexuality, our bodies, and our ability to lead.

And here’s the honest truth:

Most men walk into adulthood still carrying the boy inside — uninitiated, unclaimed, and waiting for someone to show him how.

This retreat isn’t about the dad you had.

It’s about the man you’re choosing to become.

It’s about the part of you that’s tired of drifting.

Tired of performing masculinity instead of feeling it.

Tired of shrinking, hiding, or pretending not to care.

Tired of waiting for life to “start later.”

Mind Your Daddy Business is a playful name for a deeply serious initiation:

a weekend where men explore what it means to step into their Daddyness — not in the sexual cliché, but as a mature, grounded, embodied presence.

It’s the journey from boy psychology to man psychology.

From escaping to engaging.

From avoidance to accountability.

From Peter Pan… to a man who leads his own life.

Potential outcomes for this weekend

The outcomes expected from the “Mind your Daddy Business” retreat are multi-faceted and designed to provide participants with a transformative and enriching experience. Here are some of the anticipated outcomes for attendees:

Daddy Issues & Father Wounds

The specific outcomes may vary from person to person, but the “Re-think | Re-charge | Re-new” retreat aims to provide a holistic and empowering experience that equips attendees with the tools and inspiration needed to lead more fulfilling lives.

Every man has a relationship — or a gap — with “father.”

And that relationship silently dictates:

  • how we trust

  • how we love

  • how we commit

  • how we take responsibility

  • how we show up in conflict

  • how we handle power

  • how we handle intimacy

  • how we handle our own desires

This retreat doesn’t pathologize the wound — it works with it.

We explore the missing father, the overly strict father, the absent father, the passive father, the unpredictable father…

and how those patterns replay in adult relationships.

Men often realize they’ve been waiting for someone to “give them permission” to grow up.

This weekend gives that permission back to the man himself.

Peter Pan Syndrome

Let’s say it plainly:

A lot of men are physically grown but emotionally stuck.

Signs of the Peter Pan energy:

Initiation Into the Next Phase of Manhood

Traditional cultures had rituals for this.

  • difficulty committing

  • fear of responsibility

  • avoiding hard conversations

  • chasing fun instead of purpose

  • using sex, substances, or distraction to feel alive

  • seeking approval

  • living from impulse instead of intention

  • depending on others to decide, lead, or rescue

Peter Pan isn’t bad — he’s just unfinished.

This retreat invites the boy to finally meet the man he’s becoming.

Modern men don’t.

So what do we do?

We drift.

We improvise.

We Google masculinity.

We numb.

We perform toughness instead of living truth.

Mind Your Daddy Business offers a modern initiation —

an embodied, emotional, relational rite of passage where a man steps out of boyhood energy and into a more rooted version of himself.

We do this through:

  • fire rituals

  • group work

  • emotional honesty

  • embodiment practices

  • silence

  • witnessing

  • brotherhood

A man leaves differently because he chooses differently.

Stepping Into “Daddyness”

This isn’t about age.

It’s a state of mind, state of heart, and state of presence.

Daddy energy is:

  • grounded

  • warm

  • steady

  • emotionally available

  • anchored

  • responsive, not reactive

  • a leader without domination

  • a caregiver without losing himself

  • confident without arrogance

  • protective without control

  • sensual without shame

It’s the masculine that is safeslowsure, and self-claimed.

This is the energy men crave to embody —

and the energy other men deeply recognise when they witness it.

The focus of the retreat

The weekend centers around five pillars:

Awareness

Seeing the boy patterns with clarity and compassion.

Understanding the father wound.

Naming the shadow.

Embodiment

Breathwork, grounding, movement, touch, presence.

Re-learning what it feels like to live inside a man’s body with confidence and calm.

Accountability

Taking ownership for choices, relationships, impulses, and emotional impact.

Honouring commitments — starting with the commitment to oneself.

Emotional Maturity

Learning how to regulate, express, and understand emotions instead of suppressing or acting out.

Initiation

Group rituals, fire ceremonies, witnessing, circles of truth.

The moment a man steps over the symbolic threshold from boyhood into grounded adulthood

Potential outcomes for participants

Men often walk away:

  • feeling lighter, clearer, and more rooted

  • with a deeper understanding of their father wounds

  • with more compassion for the boy inside

  • with more confidence in their masculine presence

  • with a stronger sense of purpose and direction

  • with tools for emotional regulation

  • better boundaries

  • healthier approaches to intimacy

  • less fear of commitment

  • a clearer definition of the man they want to be

  • a sense of brotherhood and belonging

  • and a more grounded, embodied “Daddy energy”

Some men describe leaving the retreat feeling like they finally “grew into themselves.”

Others say they returned home more open-hearted, more courageous, more responsible, and more emotionally available.

Many say:

“This is the initiation I never had.”

The heart of it all

Mind Your Daddy Business™ is ultimately an invitation:

To stop postponing your life.

To stop waiting for someone else to teach you what only you can claim.

To stop hiding behind the boy inside you — and finally honour him by growing beyond him.

It’s not about becoming someone else.

It’s about becoming the man you were always capable of being.

The True Self is free and without identity. Clothing, labels and technology mask our True Self. We, therefore, invite you, if you feel comfortable, to shed these layers and experience the weekend with no restrictions.

Is this for me?

This event is open to men regardless. Often we can give ourselves a hard time on how we think we look to others, and this is an opportunity to go beyond that, to be vulnerable and to let others accept you just as you are. With open hearts, with an openness to accept everybody, let the magic of touch take you to new parts of yourself you never knew existed. Read more if you have any more questions
